Spectacles for Humans is a brainchild of Dimitri Grunhauser. Unsatisfied with current state of eyewear in America, he opened his San Francisco store in February of 2006 with one simple premise in mind - providing quality eyewear to consumers.
By traveling to trade shows and workshops in Europe and Japan, searching for new trends and talented designers, Grunhauser managed to assemble a unique collection of eyewear lines that rarely make it outside of their immediate places of origin.
DeromeBrenner from France, Reiz from Germany, Orgreen Optics from Denmark, Spivvy from Japan and others, all are exceptional examples of eyewear designs that represent an entirely different side of optical industry. A side where true talents are constantly seeking new ways to create a functional yet beautiful object...a modern pair of spectacles.
